1970s
In the early years, when Westlake and Agoura were very small communities, Agoura High was the only high school in the area. Long time track coaches included Bill Belcher, JD Smith, and Frank Gremenger, the legendary head football coach for 20 years. Track standouts included vaulter Brian Goodman, distance runner John Stormo and sprinter Michelle Simon.

1980s
Agoura continued to dominate in the then Frontier League, with the boys winning back to back league championships in 1981 and 1982, led by distance runner Jim Kelley and sprinters Wil Givins and Mark Boos Benhard. The girls also won the league championship in 1981, led by Beth Landy and Stacey Neuman. Later in the decade, long-time coach Bill Duly took over as head coach and key female athletes included sprinter Julie Tingle and thrower Jennifer Whelchel.

1990s
Sprinters Scott Michell and Jeff Engels, and distance runners Brian Dameworth and Ryan Wilson starred in this decade for the boys, while sprinter/hurdle/jumper Cathy Prater, who still holds four all-time school records, and distance runner Amy Skieresz dominated for the girls.

2000s
Former girls star Cathy Prater served as head coach for several seasons while former boys standout Mark Boos Benhard took over as head coach in the fall of 2008. For the boys, Derek Johnson won the state championship in the discuss while Kevin Graf dominated in shot put while star female runners included sprinter Becky Wong and jumpers Heather Modesti and Caroline Sommers.

2010s
